I'm Ali Kazim, a Melbourne-based AI engineer. I work with founders to design and build AI agents, MCP servers, and agentic workflows: the infrastructure layer that makes an AI product run reliably, not just demo well. I work independently, so you get direct access to the person doing the work, with no account manager in between.
My focus right now is the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an emerging standard that lets AI agents connect to external tools, APIs, and data sources in a structured way. I'm one of a small number of practitioners in Australia building production MCP servers. How I got here
I started as a full-stack engineer, moved into technical leadership roles at product companies, and shifted focus to AI infrastructure once the tooling matured enough to build on reliably. The pivot to MCP and agents happened when I saw how much time founders were losing to brittle prompt chains. I started building structured integrations instead. That work is now the core of what I offer.
